Can't be all the time, because then you wouldn't be able to read a 100 year old book and understand what the fk they are talking about. So... since KNOWLEDGE is important and since people are becoming DUMB... don't you think it is even MORE IMPORTANT that we don't let definitions drift? It is soft 7.5-8, but I didn't ask if his wife was a mechanic, accountant or homemaker. Also, I would hope that wherever he went to purchase they would discuss the disadvantages. I had a Tanzanite pinkie ring 6-7, it lasted years until I stupidly wore it while moving. Solid chip on the table. Ruined a couple grand stone. That said, I think a woman that isn't a mechanic can successfully wear emerald.
