@agn855 Funny ... how you call him a mobster, when it is the "Big Guy" who is corrupt and "part of the club" that provokes wars and regime-changes nations. Maybe you should stop believing what the media tell you and look at the FACTS, because nothing the [D] have charged him with was actually true.
1
Ever heard of no-go zones and grenade attacks on police stations? The point is: "Ignorance is bliss" ... and you can declare yourself to be safe by not acknowledging the encroaching danger.
1
American Jeeps and trucks are simply ADDED WEIGHT to "compensate for lack somewhere else" [trousers]. You DONT need that stuff. Watch the Top Gear Africa special (season 19 IIRC), where they look for the source of the Nile.
1
@iWrocker Look up "Wurstblinker" ...
1
Baseball CAPS are NOT HATS, they are CAPS!
1
It makes sense to keep them clean ... or else the dirt keeps piling up in corners ... enabling bacteria to grow. That's bad for the health of the employees, because there is undoubtedly a lot of dust in the air.
1
Knight Rider's Trans AM would have broken down after "that jump".
1
"Each state has a different feel" ... maybe you should explain this to your "reaction colleagues" who whine about the recent Roe-v-Wade decision of SCOTUS, which even I as a german understand that this does NOT "make it illegal to have an abortion", just that the federal government doesnt have a say in it ... because it isnt part of the Constitution.
1
Sadly ... australians continue to vote for the wrong people ... who destroy their society.
1
@fabricefauconnier2358 A really really awesome movie that has been forgotten ...
1
@jolandafrijlink6103 No you dont ...
1
@Patrik6920 They are NONEXISTENT in the USA ... because everything is INDUSTRIALISED!
1
Audis became boring and terrible looking with the TT ... which is a mix of "modern VW beetle" and "classic Porsche".
1
... which is NOTHING for a population of 80 million.
1
Electric cars kinda need all-wheel-drive ... because the electric engine works with "magic" magnets instead of physical transmission of power. High speed trains also have all-wheel-drive to not have to make the motor huge.
1
You can "measure" the speed from the video ... by counting the dash markings on the road: - dash = 6m - space = 12m >>> dash + space = 18m ... 100 km/h = 92,5 "dashes per minute"
1
The ONLY way to break a speed like this is with MAGLEV trains that run on a magnetic cushion ... thus eliminating friction and heat on wheels.
1
Just get a horse / horse & cart for driving in the USA ... and take side roads.
1
The louder exhaust versions (#1, #3) would fail the TÜV in Germany.
1
18:50 Oh come on ... your "transport minister" "mayor Pete Buttkick" took a few months off for "paternity leave", even though he and his husband just adopted the baby. Transport / logistics crisis? Nah ... 21:00 "Blah blah DAMNED SOCIALISM blah blah" - some american LIBERTARIAN (a.k.a. self-centered capitalist).
1
Concerning "taking the whole family" ... these are really awesome vehicles for exploring "wildernesses", because you can stick a whole cabin on the back to live in. That way you are off the ground and probably quite protected from insects. The family cant be too huge though ... but you could also just carry a lot of camping equipment on the back.
1
The problem with F1 cars is that you NEED TO DRIVE FAST ... to get around the corner safely ... because of the spoiler-downforce. This requires a lot of RETHINKING and COJONES!
1
The doppler effect is NOT a function of the siren.
1
There are NO "tackles" ... you PLAY THE BALL ... and if you didnt ... that's a foul!
1
Americans shouldnt even be allowed to drive ... or own cars ... anywhere! [Sorry Ian, but "you people" have PROVEN that you are self-centered (and thus dangerous), never learned to properly drive (and thus you have no driving discipline / respect for others), dont even maintain your cars ... that's three strikes against you.]
1
You should travel to Munich or Berlin, where the last two "Rumpler Tropfenwagen" are ... which was produced ~1924 (or so) and held the record for "best air-drag coefficient of a production vehicle" until some time in the 70s. It was designed by an airplane designer, which is why it looks like a (symmetrical) wing from the top. Apart from that it wasnt really a good car, because the shape doesnt allow for storage space ... and many of them (only slightly more than 100 were made) got destroyed (on purpose) in the making of Fritz Lang's movie METROPOLIS. That being said ... I could see an adaptation of the principle with modern technology: - the driver sits in the middle ... thus right-/left-hand drive doesnt require any changes - it could be modified with "tilting technology" to make it a "sporty" car - the outlying wheels would need covers ... but that could become something "inspired by F1 cars"
1
There is a new castle being built in Guedelon too ...
1
What is the point of "a national holiday" ... if you dont get time off work?
1
Why does a "cleaner" get a 2 out of 10 rating?
1
Yep ... this is West-Berlin ... tightly packed housing with high garbage density per trip-length. On the outskirts of Berlin we have different ones due to the trips being longer.

@IWrocker The USA is a "special" place, because the first settlers were RELIGIOUS EXTREMISTS who were "fleeing from THE ENLIGHTENMENT"[1] ... which is the social change that allowed Europe to develop science, fair laws and humanitarian attitudes. This is the difference between societies run by EMOTION versus LOGIC/REASONING ... and this is the reason why a really large part of americans BELIEVE IN GHOSTS. The "mindset of BELIEVING IN TRUTH" (the bible for example OR a flat earth OR feminism OR american capitalism OR "USA USA USA USA USA") as opposed to PROVING FACTS. SADLY ... starting with the French Revolution ... the "counter-trend to the Enlightenment" started, which also affected Europe ... and is pushing us towards EMOTION as well. For this reason "arguments" are shifted towards EMOTION ... calling it "hate" instead of "criticism" ... because people want to argue on an emotional level instead of with facts. In a sense the US culture is still MEDIEVAL, because you have no problems EXPLOITING YOUR FELLOW CITIZEN ... by paying them a "non-living wage" for example ... so they have to work 10-16 hours per day to make enough money ... basically enslaving themselves! Real slavery got replaced by wage slavery ... which is even beneficial for the employer, because you had a responsibility/interest in a slave you own, but an employee you can hire and fire? Nah. [1] This is the reason why american christians are such ZEALOTS ... nowhere else will you hear people say stuff like "with the help of god we will do [whatever]" or the popular "Jesus Christ our lord and saviour".
1
In case you wonder what the truck is transporting: that is a tower to REFINE OIL ... which is done by "fraktionierte destillation". - heat up oil - everything evaporates and starts going up the tower - this cools down the gaseous oil according to their evaporation temperature ... which is low for short carbohydrate chains and high for longer chains You obviously need to make sure NO OXYGEN ENTERS THIS TOWER ... which is why the welding needs to be extremely precise.
1
11:10 Just look at the bottom left image ... and the TIMES ... 2.03-2.33 ... 3.04-3.34 and so on. Whoever designed that sign needs to be sh... err FIRED from their job!
1
It seems like a special version for "small operations" (the load seemed rather small) that do not need/want many operators OR collect wood from rather small piles in the forest, where the roads are narrow and winding a lot.
1
If only I could understand the navigator ... he is constantly talking, so there are LOADS of "obstacles"/"changes of direction".
1
#1 looks like a "supermarket resupply" ... and thus he will do this about 2-3 times per week.
1
Stadium = FULLY ENCLOSED
1
The manhole cover is RARE in Germany, but you can see them in action in ... "The Third Man" with Orson Welles ... in Vienna.
1
Calling a class of submarines "dreadnought" is a bit funny, because dreadnoughts are big, slow and "not easy to miss" ... I'd have gone with "snake" or "orca" or [whale type of choice].
1
Look at the "Fire Department kills people" video from "Not Just Bikes" for another way the dutch "allow their ambulances/emergency vehicles to MOVE QUICKLY".
1
Iceland ... yeah ... they can have a quarter of their population (women) go on strike and the economy is just fine.
1
Maybe americans should buy some of these ... for all the times when hurricanes replace air with water ... New Orleans might be a good place to have several of them ready (and used for tourists in the meantime).
1
This is BERLIN ... and all the "bureaucracy/management" trucks and vehicles are kept clean, free of rust and so on. The trucks and vehicles and even the public trash cans typically have a "funny word-play slogan" on them.
1
Beer in a metal can? HERESY!
1
Here is a tip for DURABLE HOUSES: *use BRICKS to build them, NOT "cheap empty wall wooden" style. Even half-timbered houses LAST CENTURIES compared to cheap american garbage.
1
There is a solution to the problem of "not bringing what you dont really need" (thus reducing the wear and waste of fuel): MODULAR "truck + trailers" [That solution hasnt been invented/produced yet ...]
1
Some dangers get ignored / downplayed in the statistics too ... like the UK, which doesnt really acknowledge the "forceful adult cultural enrichment of young (underage) british girls through old men from mostly one specific country southeast of Afghanistan". They rather demonise everyone talking about it ... and thus thousands of british girls get to suffer ... VERY VERY REGULARLY (once a week with multiple perps is the low number, sometimes it can be every day).
1
Military budget / power is kinda irrelevant, because these GIGANTIC countries need a lot more to simply "patrol the borders" ... compared to Israel for example AND any potential enemy is either far far away across the sea OR the USA.
1
@Ace-Of-Spades--- At least we had to have an Atlas in school in Germany ... from the beginning to the end throughout all the 13 years, starting with a simple one for the first few years to a normal sized one for later years. Americans probably never had one. A friend and I use to play "find city/river/mountain" during class ... when it became boring.
1
13:00 Top Gear had an episode where the challenge was to "find a car that the parking attendant of a Casino/Hotel in Monaco COULDNT re-park" ... and they came up with a MODEL T ... which was still there next moring (right in front of the entrance). Starting them wasnt easy ...
