My parents and I were out at a concert, and a male friend of mine was there, too, along with relatives/friends. He got to talking with me and my mom at intermission, and I think schooling or life or something came up, I mentioned semi-jokingly that I kind of stopped my mother's high-powered finance career since she switched to SAHM mode after I came along. Mind you, there was always a small part of me that felt a bit of guilt about it, despite the fact that she wouldn't change a thing, but that went away when the friend said, "Hey, it seems like she [my mom] had her priorities in order." Friend's mom is a high-level admin professional, has been forever. I think that point started a change in me. Still single, still working, but looking to transition so that I can work at home a lot sooner in my future marriage than my mom did.

@adameriksson6921 Regarding the alphabet people: 100% agree on this. Jesus did hang out with different people, particularly the ones religious leaders would've shunned, and I agree. Sadly, like you said, too many so-called "Churches" do not prepare people the way they should spiritually. It's come as you are, but you're supposed to leave transformed and your mind renewed.
Halloween/Easter/Christmas: I don't celebrate Halloween either (obvious reasons again). I used to just do the costume thing, but got convicted. I can wear costumes any day, why does it have to be October 31? Easter/Christmas is different. I don't really celebrate Passover, but I do celebrate "Easter" as "Resurrection Sunday" (celebrating Christ's resurrection), and on Christmas, as much as I enjoy the songs, lights, etc. etc., I like to keep the actual Christmas holiday as celebrating Christ's birth. Had no idea of its Scandinavian origins, but then again, I'm probably 0% Norse lol.
It is also a shame that a lot of people preach just certain parts of the Bible. I currently attend a Baptist Church that (Thank God) takes the Bible seriously. They do read from KJV, but they're not super strict about it, it's just the Pastor's preference. It's pretty traditional/old-school where the only songs they sing are from a hymnal. Growing up, we had a bit of a variety of hymns and choruses, and some more well-known contemporary songs, but honestly, I'm not mad. In this day and age, I'd rather err with this type of church than an Elevation-style church. I even left a church I loved very much due to the decaying away from the truth in order to become little more than a played-out version of a social club. I'd even heard from friends that the lighting in there is more like a bar or a club than a Church.
Don't give up hope, keep praying and searching. There are people out there who haven't proverbially kissed Baal's altar. Even if you need to get some friends or peers together ("where two or three are gathered in My name...") to take some time every week and worship God and hold Church at your place (or somebody's), just to have a time of corporate worship, Bible study, and fellowship, it really does a heart good. I'll be praying for you.

NO WONDER you seem so against girls' trips! Though casually "spending time" with some random person while on vacation seems risky, dangerous, and nonsensical in the first place. Also, it depends on the girls' trip. Went out of state just for a few days, innocent times, walking, hiking, shopping, hitting up a local attraction, and didn't even think of flirting, let alone hooking up. Just me and 2 married women who've been friends for years. Only one of us drank, the other two of us just made sure it wasn't too much (she's pretty responsible, anyway).

@GriffinMind, if I may speak up in defense of the Barbie brand and movies, having grown up a Barbie girl in general. And for the purpose of this comment, this specific Barbie movie, I'm going to call "Barbie LA" or "BLA."
Barbie LA is NOT a true "Barbie Movie," nor has it seemingly represented what Barbie is supposed to be promoting. For one thing, Barbie movies are basically fun fantasy fairy tales that are basically 1.5hr commercials for a line of dolls. Boys were never pushed into a negative light, unless they were actually antagonists. In fact, strong male and female protagonists were presented as people who vanquished villains, both male and female. Barbie is obviously a girl toy, and it was made to show Barbie as a career girl who also enjoyed more feminine aspects of life, but BLA has taken all that and trashed it while keeping it pink. This isn't Barbie. Idk what it is, but Gerwig messed it up. It's more representative of movies within the last 5 years than Barbie movies as a whole, arguably since the 80s (counting Barbie and the Rockers/Sensations).

I would highly encourage homeschooling for anybody. If you think it's difficult due to finances, my parents were not wealthy when I was homeschooled, homeschooling was NOT popular decades ago in my region. Now there are more resources than ever thought before, regardless of socioeconomic status, it saves money, time, and headaches for school, plus if enough parents get together, you can start a co-op. It's 100% legal, you need no degrees, just do a Google search and see what works best for your child and you.

It makes sense. We've never had a black president. Obama is just as much white as he is black. Had Ben Carson or someone like him (two black parents), he would have been the first black president. In a sense, simply identifying as black not only arbitrarily denies his white heritage, it undercuts Black people's heritage, undercuts his multiethnic heritage, and reinforces the racist one-drop rule that was used to keep multiethnic people out of white society. Now, this can get into a gray area (no pun intended) when it comes to multiethnics reproducing with ethnically homogenous people, especially when he/she is one of the other's own ethnicities, but this simply nullifies the absurdities about race, anyway, as we're all human.

Sorry, Griffin, but I gotta play your devil's advocate on "30s is too late for kids" bit.
While I'm sure most people would recommend waiting until your mid-to-late 30s for children, it's not an impossibility, nor is it "too late" to have kids of your own. If you are approaching 30, or are in your early 30s, however, it is definitely something that needs to be considered as a woman. Provided you take good care of your body, fix your diet (which solves SO many problems in the long run -- you can even intermittent fast for some time if necessary!), exercise in ways that are optimal for your body -- especially as women -- and keep in sync with your menstrual cycle (another super important aspect), it should serve you for a pretty long time.
Women, we are literally created, bioengineered to make babies! If you have the capacity to (barring medical anomalies or malfunctions, of course), definitely don't think you're "too late" because all your friends became parents by 25-30 and you're still single, or at least unmarried and have never gotten pregnant. Just think of the typical age of menopause, 30 is hardly "too late."
Signed, single, 30s, childless, woman who just befriended a late 30s new mom.

The infuriating thing about modern women and is that I'm a woman, in my 30s, and I didn't do the whole body count thing ever. Never dated, focused on studies, dress decently, kept myself (let you figure that out), basically probably socially awkward and "nice." Started off skinny, but 0 female definition, so guys didn't want that. Now I've got all that and then some, still socially awkward, still "nice," still keeping myself, and I still can't even pull a date, meanwhile these 304s are pulling dudes left and right, using them, abusing them, and blackpilling the lights out of them. Don't go crying that you can't find women with some value, men, they're out there. The women prizes are out there, don't settle.

@jimmcneal5292 Virgin and celibate (waiting for marriage). Not into polygamy or cheating at all. I have no problem with an average guy at this point, but yes. Because I waited so long to figure out how to socialize to work toward marriage, it isn't easy to begin with, plus who would believe a woman my age is a virgin, let alone celibate? I graduated in a job market crash and didn't even think about finding a man because I was concerned about my own finances. Not an excuse just facts. I'm not totally without possibilities, I presume, but I'm only mad at these young girls who go to the other extreme and live promiscuous lifestyles with a more entitled mentality who make it seem more and more like women like me burned themselves out already.
Thankfully, I can cook, and pretty well, too! No specialties, per se, but I can at the very least take a recipe online and enhance it.

Advice for the men looking to go MGTOW/Passport: check out a local Church. I don't particularly mean these huge, production-style churches, necessarily (though there's no shortage of single women there, either), I mean a down-to-earth, smaller, more traditional church. Lots of single women are in Church, and in smaller, more traditional Churches, there are single women who want to be married, who want to be wives and mothers, hold traditional and Christian values / gender norms, and have strong fathers or father figures in their lives. Even if you don't find a woman you want, you can learn a lot attending the services that can help you grow as a man. Get involved in men's groups, if there are any. Good luck on your journeys, fellas!

The biggest problem I'm seeing more and more with women, especially as a woman who's trying to transition out of this masculine rat race, is that women are defining education, resources and success with things that a man typically strove for. Instead of learning how to keep a good running home which is a whole thing in and of itself, we're trying to get higher degrees to get higher-paying jobs. Instead of learning how to be able to create good food, clothing, and some savings, we're trying to earn as much money as possible. Instead of working to be good keepers of the home and good loyal wives and strong mothers, we're climbing corporate and academic ladders.
These are huge sweeping general statements, and while it's not inherently wrong to strive for these particular goals as a woman, just know that not every man is looking for these things in a woman, especially if he's trying to gain these things as a man. He needs a supporter, not a competitor.
Just my 🪙🪙.

13:56 Ohhhh GOSH. Chick here, I stinking hate that "men are afraid of being women" so-called "argument." I heard that stupid-behind fallacy in English class (yeah, it was woke, whatever, but I'm getting an easy masters for free thanks to my job, why not take advantage?) while we were discussing the mens' behavior from the book "Fight Club." I think there was only one dude in the class, and of course he agreed with this fallacious sentiment. I brought up that the men were simply raised by women and needed male role models, thus they were attempting to connect in their masculinity through this club. One classmate said maybe they felt like they were returning to nature, but since nature was "Mother Nature" she didn't see why they thought they were running from turning into women in that regard. I retorted, "Yeah, but even Mother Nature needs Father Time."
There was a nice little pause of wheels turning in their heads before the prof hurried the lesson/discussion on to the next point.
