  1. I gotta say, I kinda disagree about the whole calling Obama the first "black president" because of his mixed heritage. He's not like Ben Carson with two biologically black parents, Obama is just as much white as he is black, but because of the whole 'one-drop rule," he can fully identify as black, while potentially denying his white heritage arbitrarily. Granted, this could cut into semantics as to how to measure ethnicity, but he's not definitively black. Plus, deciding about percentages of ethnicities just nullifies the whole idea of "race" in the light of ethnicity, especially with more and more ethnically ambiguous Americans being born.
