@adameriksson6921 Regarding the alphabet people: 100% agree on this. Jesus did hang out with different people, particularly the ones religious leaders would've shunned, and I agree. Sadly, like you said, too many so-called "Churches" do not prepare people the way they should spiritually. It's come as you are, but you're supposed to leave transformed and your mind renewed.
Halloween/Easter/Christmas: I don't celebrate Halloween either (obvious reasons again). I used to just do the costume thing, but got convicted. I can wear costumes any day, why does it have to be October 31? Easter/Christmas is different. I don't really celebrate Passover, but I do celebrate "Easter" as "Resurrection Sunday" (celebrating Christ's resurrection), and on Christmas, as much as I enjoy the songs, lights, etc. etc., I like to keep the actual Christmas holiday as celebrating Christ's birth. Had no idea of its Scandinavian origins, but then again, I'm probably 0% Norse lol.
It is also a shame that a lot of people preach just certain parts of the Bible. I currently attend a Baptist Church that (Thank God) takes the Bible seriously. They do read from KJV, but they're not super strict about it, it's just the Pastor's preference. It's pretty traditional/old-school where the only songs they sing are from a hymnal. Growing up, we had a bit of a variety of hymns and choruses, and some more well-known contemporary songs, but honestly, I'm not mad. In this day and age, I'd rather err with this type of church than an Elevation-style church. I even left a church I loved very much due to the decaying away from the truth in order to become little more than a played-out version of a social club. I'd even heard from friends that the lighting in there is more like a bar or a club than a Church.
Don't give up hope, keep praying and searching. There are people out there who haven't proverbially kissed Baal's altar. Even if you need to get some friends or peers together ("where two or three are gathered in My name...") to take some time every week and worship God and hold Church at your place (or somebody's), just to have a time of corporate worship, Bible study, and fellowship, it really does a heart good. I'll be praying for you.

NO WONDER you seem so against girls' trips! Though casually "spending time" with some random person while on vacation seems risky, dangerous, and nonsensical in the first place. Also, it depends on the girls' trip. Went out of state just for a few days, innocent times, walking, hiking, shopping, hitting up a local attraction, and didn't even think of flirting, let alone hooking up. Just me and 2 married women who've been friends for years. Only one of us drank, the other two of us just made sure it wasn't too much (she's pretty responsible, anyway).

@GriffinMind, if I may speak up in defense of the Barbie brand and movies, having grown up a Barbie girl in general. And for the purpose of this comment, this specific Barbie movie, I'm going to call "Barbie LA" or "BLA."
Barbie LA is NOT a true "Barbie Movie," nor has it seemingly represented what Barbie is supposed to be promoting. For one thing, Barbie movies are basically fun fantasy fairy tales that are basically 1.5hr commercials for a line of dolls. Boys were never pushed into a negative light, unless they were actually antagonists. In fact, strong male and female protagonists were presented as people who vanquished villains, both male and female. Barbie is obviously a girl toy, and it was made to show Barbie as a career girl who also enjoyed more feminine aspects of life, but BLA has taken all that and trashed it while keeping it pink. This isn't Barbie. Idk what it is, but Gerwig messed it up. It's more representative of movies within the last 5 years than Barbie movies as a whole, arguably since the 80s (counting Barbie and the Rockers/Sensations).
