For that 16 year old, I have to defend her a little. As a parent, you should know your child well enough to know what they like. If you don't, you're failing as a parent. If the mom can afford a Tesla, she can afford to get her daughter the car she'd like. Some of the blame goes to the mom for not putting in the effort to know her own child well enough. Now before all the donuts come at me, I challenge you to quote where I'm absolving the daughter of blame.
