Comes from a country that built its growth on unsustainable debt, so should fit nicely in the eu role of finance....

@LeMerch once the eu harmonise tax it will be buggered and unable to pay the interest on its debts....its the next Greece, unless Itlay, or Portugal get there first....

@LeMerch unfortunately for you, the eu wants harmonised tax to stop companies using low tax havens.......given a year or too, it will be passed by majority voting to prevent Irelands veto...... The other head ache for the eu is the trillions issued by the ecb......happily printing money to buy goverment bonds......so either Italy goes bust, or Germany will need to accept mutual debt....which is against their constitution.......so what happens to the recovery fund then?

@woodbyte it will need some sort of treaty change between the euro zone countries......you might have an issue there, as no other member wants to take responsibility for the 2.3 trillion of ecb debt.....

@LeMerch we will see wont we......but put the ecb goverment bond debts back to the countries that issued them and the eu is finnished.....so step up, surrender your pension.....oh sorry if your French, Macron has done that for you....?
