A lot more than that, thousands alone in fishing, but the eu weren't bothered about the UK fishing industry, then theres a lot more as the eu lose its trade to the UK under WTO.

@Innoruuk absolutely, but that will bring the question of the divorce settlement, what are the UK paying for if their is no trade agreement ?

@Innoruuk but you seem to forget, we have been refused the use of Galliao, as for the other projects, list them and the reason behind each one. Pensions are a given. The fact we are not getting anything from the assests we have paid for (Galliao being one)...its not a very level playing field is it?

@indogoUI given the fta with other nations and the fact that unlike half its members the UK has been a net contributor......unlike ROI, which is now going to have to pay 16 BILLION, PLUS a share of the recovery fund....good luck Meanwhile even the ROI goverment knows the damage a WTO will have on ROI, so the eu will punish ROI too, but don't hold out for any financial help, thats all going elsewhere.....

@indogoUI only recently, for many year it held out its begging bowl....... 2008 60 billion in debt 2020 220 billion in debt, growth bough by loans How much will ROI have to pay for the recovery grants? On top of 16 billion in membership? Who knows where ROI will be at the end of this MFF

@Innoruuk and when you leave a club you cease to pay....when you divorce you get a share of the assests.....common in europe I believe.....

@Innoruuk thats a bit rich considering the eu....biggest crooks going.....the uk has paid for things such as Galliao so pay the uk or give us access, your choice. Article 50 included a divorce, trade and future relationship, without the trade deal, why do you feel entitled to the divorce deal? So either play fair or accept you will not be entitled to the divorce payment....

@Blue Booby it won't just be the UK that suffers, the UK will trade with others and replace eu goods with goods from other countries Go loom at 2010 and the Lisbon Treaty, the bailout of ROI and Greece was illegal u derthat treaty, so the eu took the action it needed to prevent the collapse of the euro zone......which makes the eu even more guilty? As for the city of London, ever since 2016, the eu have sought to move derivative trading to within the eu, but 80% is still in the UK. The reason, eu banks cannot underpin the risks, they dont have the money.....even the ECB is 2.4 billion in debt, if that debt was added to the countries that the ECB bought goverment bonds from, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain would be in a worse position than Greece, when it went into austerity......so good luck with that. Obviously, with a WTO the UK trade with the eu will suffer, so we will have to add any costs to eu derivatives, quid pro quo........

@s13hgp I tend to agree, Boris thought the eu would act in good faith, but that was never going to be the case. The eu know without UK underpinning their finances, they are buggered. The best bit, is if you add the ECB 2.4 trillion as a form of mutual debt to eu member states and add in the recovery fund, their GDP debts would be as bad as Greece....and thats the risk of eu toxic debt.....
