  1. Jim Crow laws were bad because of taxation and enforcement, not because of segregation. People voluntarily segregate all the time. There's nothing evil about segregation until it's forced upon you and you're forced to pay for it. The civil rights arguments were almost entirely about implementing communism, not undoing the injustice of government force.
