  3. In the case of the Monopoly guy, Ace Ventura 2 had a gag where a short guy with a monocle was referred to as the Monopoly Guy. It was just a joke, but I think for a lot of people the inference was strong enough to forge fake memories.

  4. You can't make something that moves faster than light because anything that creates an effect that moves matter or energy that fast will also move light faster and thus invalidate it.

  6. We're not sleeping wrong. We just have electricity now. Nights are long and they didn't want to waste candles and oil just to stay up all night. They slept as much as they could considering how long the night is. If they slept during the day, it would have been a huge waste because they couldn't see at night.

  7. Disagree that pacifism is bravery. It's certainly necessary to control your anger from time to time, but to let people walk all over you is not courage. It's cowardice.

  8. There really isn't any organized martial art that people can learn to be able to defend themselves. It's like taking a music class without musical instruments. You have to actually fight to learn how to fight. Boxers and wrestlers would unironically be better at fighting than people who learn from most martial artists.
