Labour losing the working class doesn't mean that Reform or Tories have automatically gained them. Politicians need to earn their votes and actions speak louder than words. People are tired of being betrayed.

They're minoritarian socialist leftists. They might not be as far left as the Labour party, but they're not that far off, TBH.

@nigelw7626 Well some will try other parties. Most will stay home and wait until they see candidates actually helping people first. I noticed that quite a lot of Brits stayed home this recent election cycle.

@Ladyjojo695 It's all about how many people in a given district are voting for a candidate. If 95% of people in your district vote for your candidate, you will get 1 seat and a lot of popular votes. If 51% of people vote for your candidate in 1 district and 51% of people vote for your candidate in a 2nd district, you will not get much more of the popular vote than the first scenario but you will get twice as many seats. Translation, extremely conservative districts voted overwhelmingly for reform, but it didn't translate to that many seats because the districts that they needed to vote in didn't get their votes.
