  1. No, the reason why Muslim people are fleeing the Taliban is because they are afraid the Taliban will kill them for cooperating with the U.S. forces. They're not ideologically different. They are aligned in their Islamic goals. They are just afraid of punishment for cooperation.

  2. Afghanistan was always going to fall into Islamist forces. The people are Muslim. The Taliban are Muslim. They want the same thing and it's not Democracy. The way it fell is embarrassing, but the result was always going to happen.
