  1. Socialism is the process by which you incrementally turn a private ownership society into a government-controlled communist one. It is not a binary yes or no status. If you were to judge society by the standard of whether they have "Take from the rich and give to the poor" policies, then every advanced nation would already be considered socialist. You don't because it's a process, not a status.
