  1. Youtube is motivated by money. They think that they can get more investors and raise their stock price by courting corporate media and their advertiser cohorts. They're wrong, but they don't have the courage to stand by their creators in the face of pressure by the advertisers. There is no future in cable-style media. It is dying for a very good reason.
