  1. The border issue is only a short-term loss for Democrats. They know that in the long-term they win. It's the reason why California will never flip red ever again. It's also the reason why Texas will turn blue within a decade and likely have a flip or two before eventually turning blue and never ever turning back red. If Texas wants to avoid this fate, they need to start funding and deporting illegal immigrants right now. The feds won't do it.
