This is how you do conservatism correctly. Take note RINOs. You must be AGGRESSIVE.

@1685Violin Nobody knows how many people were killed by fascism either. Or covid for that matter. Plus when you get into specifics it really depends how you determine cause and effect. What matters is that he is being aggressive against the enemy of leftism.

@mugsofmirth8101 Only aggression in the technical sense. They're cowards. They fight people who don't fight back using people who hate them because they cannot afford any other form of income. They overfund the military just so they can start these pointless conflicts as well. Of course they would never send their own children off to war. That would require actual courage.

@nunereclipsereborn What do you mean both extremes? Both fascism and communism are left-wing ideologies that are socialist and state worshipping. How is that a "Both extremes" situation? It's clearly a left-wing problem.

@nunereclipsereborn Fascism is inherently left-wing. You cannot have fascism as a right-wing ideology. Right-wing ideology is inherently about self-determination and individualism. The further you go right, the more libertarian you are.

@nunereclipsereborn Yes. Being anti-communist as a cultural ideal does not make you right-wing because both your economic and behavioral ideals remain left-wing when you are a socialist and a state worshipper. Now Pinochet I don't think was a socialist, so he might have been more of a centrist dictator. That being said the state worship aspect of fascism that he embodied was certainly left-wing.

@tdata545 No, liberalism would be just sitting back doing nothing and tolerating whatever other people do like coward.

@nunereclipsereborn Calm yourself. Never said they weren't. They're both left-wing ideologies that believe in socialism and state worship.

@nunereclipsereborn Milton Friedman was an open market enthusiast. While that is important for a society's freedom, it is not the only measure of freedom. The Nazis imposed less restrictions on businesses than the Communists in the 20th century, but they both imposed restrictions. That being said, business restrictions on what to do with goods produced are not the only kinds of totalitarianism as we are learning in the 21st century. Now people are forcing LGBT stuff into everything. They're forcing Climate stuff into everything. Being able to control your own product doesn't necessarily make you free if you're also required to put state flags on all of your packages and make your employees recite the national anthem and all other sorts of things. Chile's free market approach was probably the ONLY thing they did correctly other than get rid of the other insane leftists. That doesn't mean that a completely right-wing approach is workable. It isn't. I would say something more centrist like Pinochet's approach but less brutal and corrupt would be ideal. After all results are what matters and the results of Pinochet's policies were very good.
1
@nunereclipsereborn Of course not. I'm defending the policies that work. Those policies being free market economics and pro-nationalism social stances. Do you go out of your way to build strawmen?
1
@nunereclipsereborn Sounds like you should fit right in with the MAGA movement then. They've opposed all of the warmongering that is hidden under the guise of helping the downtrodden in foreign nations.

@nunereclipsereborn Libertarians are losers. They never fight anyone who aggresses upon them.
