  1. The only customer service government programs that don't completely drain taxpayer money are ones that compete with other businesses; i.e. they're not mandatory. Think of it. If you wanted cheaper healthcare, you can run a government health care like you run the post office. Use it to compete. Reduce the costs by only using generics. Don't make it taxpayer funded beyond an initial setup fee. If you had a government healthcare plan that was cheaper than the competition but provided the same service, it would help people quite a lot more than bulldozing all the others and forcing everyone to use it and pay for it.
