  1. But humans are a social species, meant to be with other people. That said, I have lived alone with just my 1 year old dog (and this year a baby!) for about 6 years since my last relationship. I am alone, but not lonely. I make a point to go out with friends and talk plenty and see friends at work. Otherwise it would get to be too much. i want to be a single mom by choice but have also been forced due to miscarriages (was in relationships) and cancer treatment having ruined my eggs 7 years ago unexpectedly w premature menopause expected.
