  5.  @skinkz1969 no he trained in nursing school. I went to medical school, which produces doctors. I am a doctor. Nurses are my heroes as my mom was one and they help us so much, but please remember the difference between the two.

  6. Also nurses work about 36 hours a week. Doctors work 88-120 or more, especially during residency which nurses again do not have.

  10. But humans are a social species, meant to be with other people. That said, I have lived alone with just my 1 year old dog (and this year a baby!) for about 6 years since my last relationship. I am alone, but not lonely. I make a point to go out with friends and talk plenty and see friends at work. Otherwise it would get to be too much. i want to be a single mom by choice but have also been forced due to miscarriages (was in relationships) and cancer treatment having ruined my eggs 7 years ago unexpectedly w premature menopause expected.

  11. Sounds like Pittsburgh PA- all 4 seasons in 1 day!!!! We had 62 and Sun, some snow and now it is raining!!! I’d love to see Colorado some day. Definitely a dream but pursuing becoming a single mom by choice first bc my fertility is running to an end early at 37 😞Maybe me and my boys one day- my dog who just turned 2 and keeps me alive, and my 1 single embryo I got from one $22k round of IVF I’ll never be able to pay back- if it works- I feel ok saying here that my one embryo is a boy 💙🌈🎉after 2 natural pregnancy miscarriages in years prior. Maybe we will all visit that amazing place one day!!!!

  16. Arslan, I spent half of the night in my car (complicated circumstances) and it was actually very calming and enjoyable. I was soooo wishing I was capable of doing all the things you’ve done to your camper (I think of your van as a camper), and if I were a little younger not trying to have a little one alone w my fertility running out, I would absolutely LOVEEE to do what you do!!!!!! I had my 1 year old lab. I kept rewatching the part where you made the soup and actually bought that to make when I get home. Looks really good!!! You’re mt comfort YouTuber now!!! I’m also a doctor by training but had to quit residency to pursue IVF as the schedule did not allow for the time off, and I had to do IVF immediately (as I said my AMH and FSH are very poor for my age, 37). I’ve been trying since 34 when I was in relationships but only had miscarriages 😢😢😞😞🥺🥺☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️Man to think back of being 25, wantinf kids so badly, but I would’ve been so scared had the trst turned positive when I thought I had an oopsie. I should’ve just gone off the pill and let things happen… such is life….thank you for all you do! My mom is a nurse and is my hero, and I learned so much working under nurses prior to medical school

Bc my fertility is declining w menopause expected around 38 based on my AMH & FSH. I’ll be 37 next month :/ Anyway all the crouching and bending you do makes my back hurt bc I have herniated discs in my back and I’m sure you know bending is so bad for that! I try to remember you’re so much taller than me lol. I’m 5’3. If I were in your position man I’d be enjoying seeing the world. Being young and unattached. Your dinners look yummy too!!! One day you’ll be a hell of a cook to a lucky woman! Hope that doesn’t come across as odd but I can’t help but think it when I watch you make do w what you have & try so many recipes! So pretty!!! Your videos are so calming I love them. Am a doctor but dropped residency to pursue IVF as I’ve written about before so I won’t rehash the whole story lol. I also have never traveled much at all and live vicariously through your vlogs!! Love the cooking and your amusement over the small things makes me happy. You’d be a great partner! Your bed tho I am 5’3 and idk if I could do it!! And my herniated discs in my back are screaming w all your bending over lol. Thank you for this treat on a Saturday!! Anyway I originally commented bc of having work early the next day and a fire alarm (turned out to be false) going on 3 hours at my large apt complex—I had to sleep in my car. Little dinner, feed my dog, reclined the seat and got a blanket I keep. It was so restful and I actually enjoyed it!! Watched your blogs to keep my calm and remind myself that people do this and enjoy it. I almost felt bad for enjoying my nite in my car but me and my boy were great!!   21. Come to Pittsburgh in PA!!! You can park at my apartment complex (a free spot, not a paid spot) in Squirrel Hill- super safe, and be close to downtown where you can probably find a parking spot during the day w a gorgeous view of the city, PNC park & the stadium! Also the hospitals & incline & river! I love to walk around my parking lot and look down at the parkway and lights of something pretty- don’t want to give away too much about where I live but you’re also welcome to run in & use the bathroom & there’s a couch in the lobby!

  24.  @skinkz1969 medical school was $500k. Nursing school is under $100k. Medical school is 4 years w 2 of clinical rotation AFTER a 4 year degree. Nursing school is college after 0 years of another degree. It is 3-4 years. You can work during nursing school. Medical school is so intense you are legally not allowed to work. It is 80 hours/ week while nursing school is typical college w rotations eventually factored in. Medical school is much more rigorous and grueling. You have to have an entire degree, published research, volunteering, etc etc etc. and they take about 4% of applicants. You have to rock the MCAT to get in. Nursing school is akin to getting into college. You take 3 boards while in medical schoool. And then 2 more after and must be accepted to and complete 3-10 more years of residency to even practice. You take one at the end of nursing school. Boom you can practice. Because there are doctors over you ultimately responsible for the patients.

  29. Ideas 2 or 3!!!! Loving these!! I haven’t traveled north past the US side of Niagara Falls, west past Chicago (at 31 on a plane alome for my second flight ever. First was at 28), south past outer banks, or west past Hoboken NJ. I feel like I get to experience a little of the world. Spent so much time getting master’s degrees and becoming a doctor, and had to opt out of residency to do IVF (still trying to pay off 1 round for $22k that gave me only 1 good embryo). I am 37 w menopause and expected at 38 based on my labs. Had cancer tx at 29 they promised would not affect my eggs but it indeed ruined them. I’ve had 2 natural miscarriages but am doing IVF alone. So now I don’t have the money to travel and don’t like to make any plans too far out bc I could be pregnant. Also vacationing I’ve only been able to go where I cojld take my only baby for now, my now 2 year old pup. Basically I travel through your channel!!! You’ve got plenty of time to travel and work!! Don’t let anyone tell you bc it’s your decision. I so badly wanted to start trying for kids at 25. People told me I didn’t want/need them the . I “was going to be a doctor.” School school school, school is important. I have so much time for kids later. I was told all this. I beat myself up every day for not listening to my heart bc look what happened. Extreme early menopause expected. My FSH is 24 and AMH 0.2. And all I am staying alive for is my pup and hopefully miracle baby. My gofundme for my first round of IVF has $40 and I owe $19k and need another round. You do what makes you happy.   33. Nurse. Please, as a doctor…nurses go to school for 3-4 years after HS. We are minimum 8 years after HS for a doctor and then 3-10 years more of training. I went to school for 28 years of my life and finally finished at 34 as a doctor. And am just starting specialty training. You can only specialize in 1 thing and go through a very vigorous application to even trying after becoming a doctor. To become a doctor you need hours and hours of volunteering, a sport, 4.0+, stellar MCAT score which takes 6 months to prepare for, publushed research….and only about 5% of people get into med school. Real med school. To apply to nursing school, you get okay ish grades to good grades in high school. No graduate degree necessary no extra testing…my mom is a nurse and she is my hero but please don’t confuse the 2. Misinformation. I gave up my fertility bc I spent my entire fucking life getting into medical school to become a doctor for $600k in debt I will never repay bc I am not putting all money toward my failing fertiity due to cancer treatment years ago AND wasting my entire young life becoming a doctor. It took 16-34 years old. Becoming a nurse takes the normal 18-21 years old of college. Just like any other degree, and you can move all over between specialties bc there is no residency “specializing.” Nurses can work in a specialty but are certainly not specialized nor licensed in that specific area as we are.

Oh man I became a doctor and quit residency before I ended my entire life. 4 years of undergrad, published research, so much volunteering, 2 master’s degrees, a year of mcat studying- now you need organic chem, physics, philosophy, sociology, etc. it’s absolutely outrageous and takes a near impossible feat to even get in. I’d recommend a post bacc year. And then 4 years of medical school. I’m sure some of your classes would count but it would be minimum another 6-7 years before you’d be a doctor. Here I should’ve spent my time- I am 37- having kids and a life that mattered. Now my fertility is all but gone based on my AMH & FSH. Im $600k in debt from school, and doing IVF alone before it’s too late after 2 natural miscarriages. I $22k for one good embryo. I taught nursing students and your anatomy class wouldn’t even count. You need premed anatomy. And then med school anatomy is an absolute beast. Every single nerve. It’s a nightmare and cadaver practicals are like untangling soaghetti to ID nerves. And this was after I already had an anatomy MS degree. But best of luck in your endeavors. I love your dedication.
