@PatrickHenryggSon It didn't truly until 2006. People forget that Putin was initially working with NATO. Relation plumed after he realized that Russia do not have privileged status of co-hegemon. Because that isn't actually a thing. US never actually was at war from WW2. All what you did see were actually Special Military Operations. I suggest check in how many wars Russia was involved.

I do not see real risk of attack on NATO. Still NATO must be prepared because Russians may be delusional enough to try. What I see though is another scenario. China, Iran, Russia, North Korea and Venezuela have one and only main enemy. It is the United States of America! From those only Russia has actual claims to Europe and whole war was meant to scare it rather to be the final result. Russia know that Europe can't be conquered conventionally, because French have nukes and are crazy enough to use them! Trump leaving NATO has different purpose. It would expose US influence zone to attack of adversaries. As powerful as American forces are, expeditionary part can be only employed on one or two fronts. US would be attacked simultaneously on five or more fronts, then US would have trouble. Especially having ignorant, cowardly and spinless president as Trump. NATO disrupt this calculation because Europe has a lot of soft-power, they can use to support US. It is how WW3 would actually begin.

Scenario 1: After initial shock, French remind Russia that they also have nukes. While China remind Putin that they also would retaliate in such case. Poles are shocked that they weren't target of Russian nukes and then with Finland attack Kaliningrad and Belarus, with European part of NATO bombing Russia to the ruble. Chinese are pissed that Russia blow up they plan to attack wakened US simultaneously and move to plan B, sizing Amur. Putin kill himself in his bunker and Russia sign peace with NATO, to focus on defending Siberia. Scenario 2: The same, but it make more sense as Suvalki gap is Russia's weak spot. As they must capture it to prevent siege of Kaliningrad. Safe to assume that Russia attack Estonia first, hoping for lack of response. And then attempt to counterattack Poles, before they restore Prussia. Russia do not actually have resources to open other fronts. What BTW would be something what NATO would see month in advance. Unlike cowardly MAGA, Europe know how to fight. Scenario 3: Hybrid War is a cope. It only work when enemy do not expect it. We basically already have hybrid war. Scenario 4: The most likely one. After Trump leave NATO. China attack Taiwan, what they plan to do entire time. Meanwhile Iran attack Israel. North Korea attack South Korea. Venezuela attack Guana. Azerbaijan attack Armenia. Maybe even Pakistan and India jon the rumble? There could be dozens of such ignition points. Hamas just happen prematurely as that is what they plan to do entire time and Biden know it! US is overstretched, not capable to respond to more then two fronts. Furthermore cowardly isolationist government of Trump refuse to respond. Breaking US hegemony, what is they goal entire time. It is when Russian ship show around Alaska, what was cut previously by Chinese navy and Putin actually withdrew his forces from Ukraine. excluding Crimea. He would need them somewhere else. Somewhere where he already annex as Russian soil. WW3 begin! And NATO is ironically not there. Because Chinese do not want involve Europe for now. Anyway, this video is really bad.

In war spawning over a decade, on top of that. They lost purely because war was seen as pointless by general audience. And US actually win in Afganistan. Afghanistan surrendered to Taliban after they left.

@arseniy_viktorovich You contradicting yourself. We know that Russia is in near peer full scale WW1 combat, despite calling it Special Care Operation. But US was actually not in real war from time of WW2 and only lost ageist guerrilla, where whole point is to make oponent to leave, due to the costs not worthy of expenditure. Even Iraq! A fourth military at the time, was not enough for US to call state of war. If you claim that your propaganda is better then our propaganda. I would not even argue with that. What I can say is that we see what was result of six thousand containers of ammo granted by North Korea. A capture of Avidvka. Yo calling that victory, I call this as a joke. BTW: Did you see Ukrainian cities after liberation? Russians liberated them from any life including the plants.

On top of that Russian style of war is extremely wasteful and inefficient, because Russia used to just throwing people on small Siberian tribes, who didn't have chances against them. According to Russia Ukraine was exhausted before war even started. And it would collapse soon. That from three days to 300 days and one. And you should tell that thing about capturing land to Shoigu. Apparently he didn't get the memo that capturing Bakhmut or Advivka, would not win this war. What UN statistics? First time I hear about those. UN still can't notice war crimes in Ukraine. That just confirm they complete ineptitude. You just confirm my old notion that reverse of what Russia is saying is usually true.

And I do not discuss meat grinder, there are videos of thousands dead Russians. UN also claimed that destruction of dams is WMD, except destruction of Kahovka Dam was not somehow. UN still fail to recognize Russian war crimes in Ukraine, because they are so corrupted that they reach League of Nation level of effective.

When Huns attack, Germanic tribes basically cross the river and said that. They either accept them, or everyone die. In the end unaided Romano-Germanic forces defeat invaders. And by law everyone in Empire was citizen of Rome. But when power moved to Greek controlled Constantinople, they basically start ignoring everyone who not speak Greek. But silent alliance between two superpowers was source of they hegemony. US was the bad cop, Europe was the girl cop. Axis of Evil want attack US not the Europe. Russia is fully aware that they can't conquer Europe, but US expeditionary forces are ironically limited to two fronts top (if even that as they switch to COIN). And there is five of more fronts what can be strike at the same time! But China do not want Europe to be involved. So Comrade Trump must leave NATO first.

@thomassecurename3152 That saying is from time when Soviet Union was a thing. In fact Germany join NATO quite fast, so that removed them out of picture. While Europe could have hard time ageist entire USSR. But now entire Warsaw Pact is in NATO, while Russia kept at best 1/4 of the power original power (mostly the least competent one and nukes). Europe did try pacify Russia and kick out US (French and Germans didn't want them mangling in they affairs). But that obviously didn't work. Russians are psychos and Americans until now know that they can't lost Europe to China. But then Trump happen!

@nydydn You are aware that Europe is nuclear capable? Japan straight said that they can have nukes in a weak. Poland actually develop nuclear capability in the 90's. It is why it was accepted to NATO (it is why there is a debate about nuclear weapons in Poland, with US share program). Anyway. US leaving NATO is not the problem, as Europe already has ~500 own nukes. But either use of nuke by Russia and lack of response of US, or US removing its protection by cowardly Trump. Could trigger this problem.

@richardmcdougall233 This is fake argument on the first place. Russia is not a threat to Europe. Europe didn't spend as much as it is needed, because it literalny was not nesesery. US job was mostly a deterrence. Germans and French straight didn't want US forces there, on the first place. Trump failed in only true job US have there. Though fortunately Russia is fully aware that Europe alone is still out of they league. Axis of Evil plan to attack on US. Because with how impressive US expeditionary force is, it is limited in number of fronts it can get at the sane time. And there would be five at least, when Trump leave NATO. China would not risk involving Europe, because they know that Europe is hidden Superpower and who control the spice... you know the story.

@luissantoyo27 You forget that Chinese have claim to Amur region. Where they attack would depend on what US do. If Trump abandon Taiwan, then cool. If US or/and Europe pommel Russia to death, then China would welcome back they historical land and maybe part of Syberia as bonus. Putin would need to be as dumb to attack NATO, as he was while attacking Ukraine.
