Canada should raise their prices 25% to cover the tariffs, they should also lower the amount of goods imported by the U.S., both of which gives a big boost to Canada's economy while lowering the U.S. economy. Businesses in the U.S. will pay a higher cost, then increase their prices to make a profit and the American people will get hit with the double price increases. The hardest lessons in life are the most painful to learn, maybe when Americans see and feel the pain of Trump's idiocy and incompetence they'll finally stand up and do something about it. Until it affects them in their personal lives in a significant way, they don't care.
