  1. You seem to lack knowledge about communism/socialism. One thing is that socialism is more of a spectrum and not a dichotomy. Countries can be more or less socialist. Communism had many forms: marxism, leninism, stalinism, maoism, developed socialism etc. Marxism was against idea of government and leninism promoted the idea of women's rights and liberation(glass water theory), and empowerment racial and sexual minorities(Soviet Russia decriminalized homosexual contacts in 1917). Homosexuality was banned again only in 1933 by Stalin. And it should be noted that stalinism was quite different from marxism or leninism.
