  2. Liquid hydrogen is a way to go, tank volume can be increased I guess, considering hydrogen is quite light. Also the EV's and fuel cell's problem is that basically their ONLY advantage is a somewhat better efficiency of using energy stored onboard, and it's only 1.5-2 times at max. This means even moderate increase in ICE efficiency makes both EVs and fuel cells redundant(while they are still much worse for environment because of how batteries are made and scapped)
