Well, the fact that it was wrong then doesn't mean it's wrong now. Also we have a problem of low birth rates among educated people, so we have scarce highly intelligent human resources.

@ariefraiser140 1)it is ridiculous to make conclusion based only on your own experience. 2)Intelligence is influenced mainly by genetics and environment. Both work negatively towards people from working class or third world country population(compared to first world country population in general). If europeans, for example, gave birth to more children, there would be no need to import immigrants, and average intelligence in europe would be higher. That would mean we would be able to create thermonuclear reactors much faster and stop relying on fossils(plus we could recycle trash more effectively).

@vladimirstolov9324 i'm pretty sure helium-3 will be cheaper as fuel than fossils when we learn to utilize it.

Back before 20th century people never retired. Retirement was just a temporary thing created because of unimaginable amount of excessive wealth. It probably won't outlast 21st century, so prepare to live and die on your working place.
