Analysis is quite bad. First of all, male promiscuity is almost not a problem for women at all, since he still will support and protect her, and she(and kids) doesn't need more. For men it's vice versa, trust wrong woman and you're in a trouble(you won't leave offspring). Most likely it's just men applying wrong logic because they don't use face as indicator of cheating(they rather use behaviour, and top men probably can identify it quite good) and women applying more or less correct logic, but fidelity is just not important for them.
