  1. One of the biggest mistakes was trying to combine 3 planes in one, especially the STOVL F-35B. It's basically a stealthy supersonic Harrier successor. The other one is not using all those methods to cheapen it up, like they do with new designs(NGAD, B-21 etc.)

Yes, mostly because it's possible to make a bad fighter/carrier fighter from STOVL, but not vice versa. They definitely should have made 2 different planes -- F-35 for Marines and some other plane for Air Force and Navy. >Neither one of which will be cheap.   7. I'm pretty skeptical. What I think they will achieve is prolonging sixties for couple of decades, for a good payment, of course(will be useful to billionaires and multimillionaires). Maybe with elevated risk of cancer. Then they will hit the wall and need a lot of experiments on humans to better understand how it all works, but initially such idea will be met with opposition, which will cause plateau period for some time. I'm ready to bet that we will have FTL earlier than people will become fully biologically immortal

  8. People in comments writing about economy class' bad conditions seem to have little experience. If you fly in economy often soon you adapt to conditions( I had a lot of 12h flights in economy, it's not that big of a deal, and I believe 19h is doable too)
