But I 1)think same or close age gaps between husband and wives are detrimental to family. 2)disagree with the whole narrative that all women or all men should create families. If one doesn't want to live non-traditionally, go on. Actually I believe in opposite, I think some people shouldn't start families and have kids.

@Gol-Dee because if husband is older, 1) it brings more power imbalance in relationship, which means it's less reason for wives to challenge husband's authority and demand equality in decision making; 2)Wоmen "hit the wаII" around 40 or so. Men become unattractive/old much later. Plus since these days men become financially stable only closer to 30, if they will search among women of their own age, they won't find marriageable women. And if young girl who wants to get married will search amoung young guys, she won't find a guy who can support a family.

@anegg84 Double standards are absolutely reasonable, the whole idea that it is bad is delusional, as people and grоuрs of реорIe are different. As for "experience", well, if it's with wоmеn who beIiеve in еquаIity it doesn't really matter, as they won't have many kids in the first place. There's no much difference between remaining a virgin and having a modernist type of "equal" family/relationships with only 1 or 2 kids.
