  1. I disagree that monogamy is better than polygamy, because it leads to either marriage without love, nontraditional families where husband and wife are equal, or women becoming promiscuous. Both ends up with women being unhappy. In polygamy women are not forced to settle down for someone they don't like because attractive guys are taken. And woman can submit herself to the man she is really attracted to and thus have a happy marriage.

  2. I don't know what he means by "competence hierarchy", but yes, women mostly only the tallest and most attractive males, that's how they decide whom to mate with, of course they don't care about GPA/grades/income until they decide to settle down in their 30's when they hit the wall.
