We don't. Humans will colonize entire universe and still fight with each other. After all, we never needed to stop wars to cross oceans or go to the moon
21
@kosmique technically bending wormholes can be simpler, same as making planes and hd monitors is simpler than building 1 km tower, despite the latter would seem to be much easier to ancient humans
14
The Fermi paradox is not about signals, it's about them not colonizing earth 100 million years ago
11
@dzibanart8521 they would've come from other galaxies. People don't realize how old universe is compared to our civilization and therefore, how fast civilizations technologically advance compared to universe timescale. We went from pyramids to space travel in less than 5000 years(and I personally think we will have first warp prototype in the next 500-600 years). Universe is at the very least more than 10 billions years old. We are just the first civilization in the universe(not in the multiverse though)

@iamjohnrobot I doubt you learned a lot of physics, but go on, try to explain how Dyson sphere is the best solution
7
@BravoRox sort of, probably letting the current stars burn and just gathering the interstellar gas as fuel would be the better option
6
How do you know?
6
@CommodoreFloopjack78 Analogy is not an argument, and your is not even in any way reasonable
6
@wovemalkalivan306 if other alien civilizations existed, they would have colonized earth back when dinosaurs existed
3
@hastalavictoriasiempre2730 it is quite unlikely in my opinion
3
@M4R10_ It's good that some people understand the real situation
2
Interesting point, maybe you're right
2
@iamjohnrobot you understand that centrifugal force wouldn't act on the top and bottom of the sphere, right?
2
@iamjohnrobot you explained nothing, ok. Guess you can't. Just remembef that dyson sphere requires basically all materials that exist in the stellar system
2
@iamjohnrobot ok, ring can be made stable, if I remember correctly, but why not just create some sort of a ring world then?
2
@CommodoreFloopjack78 Because paralyzed horse can't win any race. Humanity, on the other hand, managed to dominate all other species back in paleolith with just stone spears. Since then we never met anything even close to rivaling us and only were fighting each other for limited resources. We could have met aliens, but sentient ones capable to expansion almost certainly don't exist in our universe
2
Because basically all species try to populate all the space they can survive in

@nedal1alex123 🤡

Not really
1
@ronnyschneider2721 nope
1
@WyzrdCat it doesn't work like that, but if I try to explain my comment will turn into an essay and you most likely wouldn't read it at all. However if you(or whoever reads this discussion) wants to, I can write it and explain why your argument doesn't work
1
@g.dalfleblanc63 it is not, chill out
1
@robertlee4809 how do you know for sure that we all are wrong? My position is based on simple logic
1
We don't need to get along. We never needed
1
Absolutely ridiculously idiotic video. Thanks, my brain melted much more than from watching the stupudest of Tiktok videos. Aliens almost certainly(with probability of 99.9%-99.999%) do not exist solely because that if they've appeared more than 1million(or maybe even 100k) years from now in any part of the observable universe, they would have already came here and colonized earth before humanity even started a civilization. Honestly, I'm so much triggered by the brainlessness of the whole discussion, it's physically painful to listen to made up arguments of alien fanboys
1
@DavidLazarus exactly because of the fact that there are insane amount of stars it's impossible that alien civilizations exist
1
You are right
1
@wovemalkalivan306 Even now humanity has project on how to travel to closest stars, and we only have primitive nuclear engines. But FTL is most likely possible so it doesn't matter
1
@wovemalkalivan306 dude we hadn't a nuclear engine project 500 years ago yet NERVA is a thing
1
@midnightmass7728 dude, congressional meeting is a joke. The dude claiming UFOs exist is just preparing ground to sell the books he will write.
1
@W.Isarnorix.D and somehow other colonies did not come to help? Lol(not to mention that it's almost impossible to collapse for civilization that is capable of interstellar travel)
1
@sckirbyc1 well, photovoltaics have even worse effectiveness
1
@bene2451 arguments?
1
Modernists are such idiots. We(almost certainly) are alone and it's insanely good. Remember, the short age of tolerance and acceptance is an anomaly and is coming to an end because of how unsustainable it is, if there were aliens, they would absolutely have genocided us(or maybe killed men and took women for sexual pleasures)
1
Ok, both the first third of a video and comments are really an iq-decreasing material
1
There's one problem — why haven't they colonized earth before there were humans at all?
1
We don't need to look for anything. The sole fact that aliens did not settle earth before humans even appeared means they don't exist as civilization
