Btw comparing short range missiles before medium range ones show how clueless you are about how modern air combat goes. I'm telling you, go watch some DCS videos(yes it's a simulator, but it gives basic understanding what is possible and what isn't) before writing idiotic stuff in the internet

Lol, who are you, clown, to put periods? 3)Do you even know how much medium-range missiles each 5th gen fighter has? I'm not even asking if you're aware of general kinematics of medium-range and short-range missiles and what no escape zone is(and how it's influenced by speed of a launching aircraft). Seriously, go watch DCS, it's much more accurate than your delusional ideas about how air combat works, because you took yours from some promotional videos.

@napobg6842 Yeah, F-35 internally carries 2 medium range ones. Su-57 and J-20 carry two times more -- 4. F-22 carries 3(!) times more than F-35 -- 6 missiles. If you can't google it then go prepare for school, kid

@napobg6842 once again, you're thinking like a school kid(and I am slowly starting to think that you actually are one). It's impossible to predict if there will be a close air combat or only bvr fight, because it depends on how bvr itself goes. More than that, if F-35 would carry missiles externally, it will compromise its stealth, it's better to send cheaper and faster aircrafts like F-15 and F-16 then. As for argument that "f-35 won't let anyone close", it's stupid, China/Russia have AWACS and 4+/5th gen fighters too

@napobg6842 And then there's no need to use F-35 as air dominance fighter, since F-15's and F-16's will be doing it just fine, and F-35 can only be used as aa suppressor and sort of "battlefield awacs" for 4th gen fighters.

@napobg6842 but it would compromise its stealth. Which brings us again to the idea to use F-35 in stealth mod to provide targeting for F-15s and F-16s. And against J-20s US can use F-22s

@napobg6842 Well, if J-20 are expected it's better to send F-22s, which are stealthier, are faster and carry 6 medium range missiles. If not, US can send 4 F-35s and 20 F-15s, and bringing up both targeting of F-35 and high energy of F-15 to launch more missiles on longer ranges.

@napobg6842 because they are more expensive, slower, can carry less missiles, and therefore more of them will get shot down. Unless you want to get rid of them via fighting, it's better to send F-15s and F-16s

@napobg6842 i think those figures for f-35 are incorrect. They were presented when Donald Trump said F-35 is too expensive, so Lockheed Martin just randomly decreased the price, most likely to negative profitability level
