Has nothing to do with being jaded or anything. If you look at statistics carefully, you'll realize that countries that have above replacement level fertility have it due to a lot of teenage pregnancies -- young women become mothers earlier, don't get a lot of education and just continue to have kids. For liberals and conservatives it sounds bad, but in reality it's the only way society can work long-term. One may ask -- "but muh teenage pregnancies are bad and such families are unstable, why does it work in third world countries?". The answer is simple: in the west if such families exist, they are between peers -- guy is in school too. He obviously can't support family and it both stops them having more kids and creates tension often leading to divorce/break up. Hence the solution -- let older men do it, like it was done for entire history.
