Anders Puck Nielsen is naval military analyst at the Danish Defence Academy. It's his job to deliver un-biased objective analyses. As such he is among the most un-biased analysis channels, concerning the military situation with russia and Ukraine, to be found there days. He started making these videos years ago for his students. I've watched his videos since he had 6,500 subscribers, before the fullscale invasion. I recommend watching Anders' videos the last half year before the fullscale invasion (you'll guess which by the title). Back then Anders began to predict the war (fullscale invasion - the war started in 2014), ending up expecting it at the end of the China Winter Olympics. These games ended on 20th February 2022. The invasion started on 24th Febr. Until then only the highest ranking officers in the russian military knew about it. We now know that the russians in the last moment postponed the large invasion for a few days, as a significant part of their military equipment needed urgent maintenance before being ready for operation. This puts the originally planned start of the invasion back to around the 20th February, end of the China Winter Olympics. Anders Puck Nielsen was spot-on.

Thanks for the analysis, Anders. I think russia still seem to have problems in equipping their new soldiers sufficiently. A Ukrainian defender encounters an advancing russian foot soldier who's only wearing one boot. The Ukrainian defender asks him: "Hey, Ivan, did you lose your boot?" russian Private Conscriptovich answers: "No, I just found it."

Me too. I think about it at the start of any A.P.N. video. Right from the start we know that he is not intending to be a wise guy trying to teach us, but to express his viewpoints which are open for debate. Being modest and "don't think you are special" is typical for the Danish.

Just to clarify to avoid confusion I'm sure you mean Anders' normal videos (which are indeed somewhat "short"), not to be confused with smartphone format YT "shorts" (always under a minute) of which he has only made two. It's interesting that russian soldiers are still complaining about their poor equipment. It's interesting that russian soldiers still call home to their mothers complaining about their lack of equipment. It's interesting that russian mothers still upload their complaints on social media, addressing Poo-tin in the hope that he will remedy the situation. Poo-tin doesn't care about the well-being or lives of his soldiers. Poo-tin cares about Poo-tin.

Thanks for your donation, and input. Yes, Anders Puck Nielsen has some of the most unbiased analyses to be found. Not surprisingly since that's his job at the Danish Defence Academy. Note to ill-informed vatniks: "Opinion" and "bias" are two different things. They can coexist. Anders never fails to remark "this is only my personal opinion" the few times he says something with any bias. Otherwise he is always neutral, unbiased. Note to Note: The "Note" is not to trolls (they have no opinion) or bots (they're not human). But they're free to respond to this and reveal themselves. They're so easy to catch, swim like herrings into the net. I see you already caught one. Good catch.

@larsbundgaard5462 I thought so. I too prefer shorter videos, in gegeral, exceptions being Perun and Silicon Curtain. I can't imagine a 10 mins. Perun video, and Silicon Curtain's interviews would lack depth if they were shorter. One needs to have the time to watch them though.

I agree to some extent. It's a hard balancing act for Poo-tin, as he with his "annexations" of Ukrainian regions have tied the security of his power to winning the war. With russia claiming that "Ukraine is not a country" Poo-tin could sort of "legally" have his soldiers operate in all of Ukraine. And the new rhetoric that "all territory that once happened to be russian or Soviet is still legally russian" he'll most probably try to use as excuse for attacking other countries, claiming that the soldiers "are operating inside russia". It's hard for me to see russia win a war of conquest against all those countries with territories Poo-tin now claims russia has the right to. russia will have to do so with an economy the size of that of Spain (sorry, Spain, no offense intended). It's hard for me to see Poo-tin survive politically if he does not win such a war of conquest of these territories once he attacks. It's hard for me to see Poo-tin survive if he goes back on russia's presumed claims to all these territories (incl. Ukraine). It's hard for me to see Poo-tin surviving going back just to claiming the already socalled "annexed" territories. This would mean "sudden death" to be triggered for Poo-tin. Summa summarum: It's hard for me to see Poo-tin survive in the long run. He has tied his staying in power to goals that are impossible to achieve. In spring 2022, when that 65 km long russian military column turned around and fled from Kyiv, by not ending the war that moment I think Poo-tin started the beginning of his own eventual downfall. It's funny how most russian troll accounts twisting narratives, taking things out of context, and generally spreading misinformation and chaos, have been created after the beginning of 2022. ...and it's funny how they and their bots respond to certain types of content in comments. And they're so bad at tit. They aren't capable of not revealing themselves. Like fish in shoals they go right in the net, they're so easy to catch.You, OG2xysquared, just caught the first. @hmmm2564 Anders 2½ year ago did actually predict the fullscale invasion and about the right date: "At the end of the China winter olympics" which ended on 20th February 2022. Very few people knew about the invasion beforehand. As we now know that in the last moment the invasion was postponed a few days to 24th Febr. as a significant part of the russian military's equipment needed urgent maintenance before being used in an operation, we can pinpoint the originally planned date to just around the 20th. So Anders was spot-on. Yet, he is an analyst, not an oracle.

@liljasere OK, thanks. Well I guess you're right, everybdoy needs a breath of fresh air from time to time, and we should all take that time. Unfortunately the Ukrainians don't have that luxury, having to saty alert to air sirens and possible bombings day and night, day in day out. And the rest of us outside must stay focused on helping them with everything they need, when they need it, and then take that breath of fresh air when there's room for it. I believe the analysis in this video is one good tool (among many) for helping us to understand what we need to do in order to help. We must never relax enoguh to pretend that it isn't our war. Because russia is at war with us whether we like it or not. It's just only in Ukraine the russians fire guns, against the rest of us their weapons are different. but at war with all of us they are.

@111076tom To have a better idea of that you'd need intelligence (information, that is). The person you call "pretty poorly informed" is intelligence. He's colonel and military analyst in the Danish military and as such a lot better informed than you and I. He's not just some ordinary YouTuber, and his channel is for providing information (originally to his students), not for entertainment, promoting any narrative, nor for earning any money. Solely for providing unbiased analyses, information.

In Denmark they use D-M-Y. Others use Y-M-D. The only time I get confused is when some use M-D-Y. Month - Day - Year is like M-S-H, Minutes - Seconds - Hours. It's fine for someone used to it, but the sequence is not logical.

@larsbundgaard5462 Silicon Curtain is a private YT channel that does interviews with people with any significant insight etc. concerning anything that has to do with the russia-Ukraine situation. Jonathan Fink uploads new video daily or every second day, each interview taking about an hour. The variety of people interviewed is broad: Analysts, experts within all branches, politicians, grassroot spokespersons, russian opposition, philosphers, YouTubers (you probably know all of them incl. Anders Puck Nielsen), etc. etc. The topics in the interviews are as diverse as the guests are. russian misinformation is one of the more frequent topics. I think Jonathan (the YouTuber) is onvolved in some international work to try to combat russian misinformation. Lately he participated in meetings, held in Munich in connection to the Security Conference, with Operator Starsky and others. Some of his guests have been interviewed multible times over the last two years. I think British russia-specialist Jade McGlynn and US general Ben Hodges each have been interviewed four times on the channel (I highly recommend the interviews with those two, they are very informative and eye-opening). Most of the interviews I've seen have been thought-provoking and very interesting and I'm sad I can't find time to watch all his interviews. I do recommend you check out the channel and a few videos.
