@redfo3009 yeah, safe and effective seems to be the mantra of snake oil salesmen.

@JohnDoe-nm5le he has a point actually, the CDC states that I think 1 out of 3 Americans have parasites and don't know it. They can cause symptoms that match other diseases and so get misdiagnosed and mistreated. There's a lot of conspiracy theories around this topic, but there is also a lot of truth to them which makes it a bit of a mess to discern truth from fiction. But it's definitely the case that smoking makes you less prone to parasites, that though obviously shouldn't be taken as advice to smoke, as a smoker, don't do it! Take a ice bath instead.

True, however I would encourage you to always look up the etymology of words which are hotly debated. In this case you'll find some interesting things.

@4ja2vi0 oh no I agree with your original perspective completely and in it's entirety. I commented just to add further to your point and I'd like to see this become a more common thing with these people today trying to change the meanings of words to push their agenda. Knowing the usage and origin of the words along with where/who started the distortion of the words (David Bowies song gender bender, Dr John money's failed experiment) helps one to develop a strong argument against these vile ideologies and as it were, to be a light in the darkness and shed light on the deceptions so mixed into these debates. What actually got me started down this path was studying the Bible using a Strongs concordance, at the time I didn't believe in the Christian God but was curious and wanted to better understand the teachings and try to see them in the context of the time/culture/circumstances. I found that doing so shed huge amounts of light and gave a much deeper meaning that simply reading the modern translations which I was curious as to which translation was most accurate. Doing this is something that I would also highly recommend any Christian do, to really study scripture, for me at least it was/is profound and I find it hard to stop reading/studying like that when I start.
