  1. She was great. I like her. But… Voted Republican for 45 yrs. No longer. The party that I thought stood for liberty has become very authoritarian. If trans folks are looked down on and their lives are made difficult because of Republicans, they will never get my vote again or those of my family. We are a family of hardworking people that came here legally from the communist island prison of Cuba. LGBTQ+ folks have every right to be who they are in a free country. People like DeSantis and what Vance is saying, are showing me that Republicans think that some people are more equal than others. To that I say, so long. You are not the constitutionally aware leaders I will support any longer. We the people don’t need the government telling us how to live our lives.

  2. I am a person of color and had voted Republican all my life. The transphobia hit close to home and I cannot vote for them any longer. It’s not about skin color.

  4. Arranged marriages only occur in their own culture. Her family would never have picked Vance or whatever his name was before he changed it.
