Just as important could be to avoid shopping at American owned stores or eating at American owned restaurants as much as possible. It is unfortunate that there is not a Canadian alternative to Google, Facebook etc that I'm aware of.

European countries thought it was a good idea to tell the Zionists that it was ok to invade, steal and occupy Palestine and the Middle East has never hsd any stability ever since. Now Israel may take violent actions to drive up the price of oil to help imperialist Russia just as Russia was going to have a difficult time financially with low oil prices. Why can't the Israelis end their obsession with violence and war and oppression and let Palestinians be free and live in peace with other human beings?

By 2028 Millenials and people younger than Millenials will make up over 50% of voters. By 2032 they will make up close to 60% of voters. By 2040 just 16 years from now every voter under age 60 will be a Millenial or someone younger. 16 years isn't very long. Republicans are facing disaster from demographic change.

And the experts have said that the amount of illegal drugs being smuggled from Canada to the United States is tiny. And the base of the problem is demand for drugs in the United States. The American government has spent vast amounts of money in its war on drugs and that hasn't stopped the use of illegal drugs in the United States at all because the American demand for illegal drugs is still there.

@loosha1854 First turn the United States into a developed country. That means getting rid of the MAGA cult and its members. It also means getting rid of all the religious fanatics, the gun fanatics, the anti-government fanatics and the anti-science fanatics. It also means getting rid of all the handguns and military type weapons. It also means bringing in universal public health care and paid maternity leave. It also means having higher quality schools and much lower university tuition. It also means getting rid of segregation between the races. It also means no longer locking up vast numbers of people based on race. It also means ensuring that women have basic rights. It also means greatly reducing the power of money in American politics. It also means changing the election system so that the United States finally becomes a democracy. That involves switching from the bizarre electoral college to using the popular vote to choose president's and having the number of senators for each state determined by population and taking elections out of the hands of partisan politicians and letting independent unbiased election commissions control elections. That also involves getting rid of gerrymandering and voter suppression. After that we'll think about it but almost guaranteed the answer will still be no. This reminds of when Trump had the bizarre idea that he had the right to have Greenland just because he wanted it.

@CraftAero That actually sounds like a good idea. Every time Trump imposes a tariff on goods from any country that country should start charging an export tax on goods going to the United States.

Solar power and wind power are getting cheaper and cheaper. The cost of solar power decreased something like 85% in 12 years. Solar and wind may not be able to supply base load power but they will be important sources of power in decades ahead.

I don't believe for one second that Trump's will increase inflation by only 1%. That's nonsense. 25% tariffs on products from Mexico and Canada and 10% on products from China. That's going to be very painful for American consumers. Then we have Trump wanting to get rid of a lot of the migrant workers who pick the crops and work at slaughter houses and build homes for Americans. It's estimated that about 42% of agricultural workers are undocumented migrants. Take those workers away and the price of fruuts and vegetables and meat and new houses is going to jump dramatically if you're even to find those things to buy at all.

@dirkdiggler9379 You have the delusion that if the United States switched to choosing a president based on the popular vote only votes from people in the most populous states would count? That's really bizarre ... though you're not the only person to have that delusion. But that's not how using the popular vote works. If the president was chosen by popular vote then all voters in all states both big and small would have their votes counted and would have equal power in the election. A voter in a California would have exactly the same influence as a voter in Wyoming because their votes would have equal value.

Presidents don't control gasoline prices - international energy markets do. And gasoline prices were low when Trump left office because the world including the United States was in its biggest recession in 90 years and people around the world were staying home due to a pandemic so demand for gasoline and oil collapsed. And the unemployment level was much higher when Trump left office but Biden got the unemployment rate much lower while creating a booming economy. And if you don't like higher prices in general then obviously you don't want to vote for Trump who supports Putin's unprovoked invasion that drove up inflation around the world and who has encouraged Putin to launch more inflation causing invasions. Plus a number of policies Trump has said he would carry out such as dramatically increasing tariffs will make inflation skyrocket. You're never going to see 2020 recession level prices again especially if Trump wins the election. If you think that Trump can bring 2020 prices again then you're living in a fantasy land And there were plenty of wars around the world when Trump was president and obviously Biden didn't start the war in Gaza or the war in Ukraine although war in Ukraine might never have happened if Putin hadn't known that his bromance partner Trump would try to undermine American support for Ukraine. In general you need to start thinking before you post online and you need to learn more about the facts before posting online. I know that you MAGA cult members don't like thinking and you don't like facts but people would take you more seriously if you were able to do those things. Right now nobody will take you seriously. @tenitri5023 Actually the United States had its worst recession in 90 years when Trump was president and the deficit increased every year. Today the economy is booming at record levels with low unemployment, low inflation and investments being made to fix long neglected infrastructure and help out companies in the rust belt and to create a more green economy. And today the United States doesn't have a president pandering to white supremacists and the American Taliban and trying to create civil war between the races and take away basic rights from religious minorities and turn women into birthing machines and undermining scientists who were trying to fight against a pandemic and undermining government agencies that regulate corporations regarding safety, the environment and worker rights. Some day maybe a MAGA cult member will say something connected to reality but I doubt it. But if you want a fascist dictator who will encourage dictators and demagogues to launch invasions around the world and you want a number of policies such as massive tariffs and a much lower value dollar that will make inflation skyrocket and you want the United States turned into Gilead then certainly vote for Trump. Just remember that it will probably be the last time you ever get to vote in an election.
