  1. It has been said by some writers that the last survivors of WW3 will be astronauts on long term missions in orbit. Though it would be the most depressing feeling in history for them to know that everyone else is dead and that there is a good chance that they will die too once they return to Earth. (and I don't know if any astronauts in orbit could possibly return to Earth without ground support).

  2. ​​@MrSegamx Not everyone. The people who get drunk every Saturday night even though it always leads to bad consequences would still get drunk the same Saturday night if they had a chance to redo that particular Saturday.

  3. Shortly after WW2 Costa Rica disbanded its army. According to one source a number of other small countries in the America's have followed their example. I think that one reason for this is that they see the United States as the only country that might try to invade them and have correctly figured that whatever army they could maintain would be no match for American invasion forces. I'm taking a guess that as well some of the small island states in the Pacific Ocean don't have militaries.
