  1. ​@reubenherrera9827 You could be right that he had no choice but it could be argued that writing and releasing his letter was the most consequential event in the history of the United States.....and in a very negative way. More important than invading Canada in 1812, the Dred Scott Decision, the Zimmerman telegram and the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbour. Because unlike those events James Comey's release of his letter could end up leading to the destruction of the entire United States and much of the world through the action of Trump, his cronies, Republican politician sycophants, his Supreme Court nominees and his cult members. If Comey had not written his letter and Trump had then lost in 2016 then the Republican party might have then abandoned him as a loser. Though it is true that if Clinton had won in 2016 then she would have been president when Covid hit and she would have taken the blame for covid pandemic restrictions which might have led to a Republican presidential candidate winning in 2020.
