  1. If Trump wins the election and creates chaos then that might happen but otherwise the dollar has no competition other than the Euro as a reserve currency. Certainly none of the currencies of Brics countries can compete with the dollar nor can the currency of Japan or Indonesia. And Canada, Australia and South Korea have solid developed economies but their economies are still very small compared to that of the United States. I suppose that the British pound is still a major currency but I don't think that it's going to replace the dollar.
