@TankandDimples And the Russians did so poorly in their advance despite having a country with three times the population and despite having far more artillery shells and aircraft and probably also still having far more tanks than have the Ukrainians. And no doubt the Russians suffered far, far more casualties given the Russian military's indifference to the deaths of their own soldiers.

@rphb5870 I don't see how the Russians who hid behind a massive mine field can say that they "defeated" the Ukrainian advance. That's like me standing next to the huge fence around the lion enclosure at the zoo and saying that I succeeded in defeating the lions's attack on me after the lions failed to get through the fence to assault me.

@mirekslechta7161 The United States has three of the four most powerful airforces in the world and the fourth American airforce is probably ranked 7th or so. Did you see what American air power did to the Iraqi military which was one of the strongest militaries in the world at the time? That's basically what American air power would do to the Russian military even if not one single American soldier was on the ground and even if not one other NATO country joined the war.

@rphb5870 Russian troll, you're confusing two different Russian offensives in two different years. The Russian offensive basically took 12 months to capture tiny Bakhmut. And at the cost of massive losses of men and military equipment. We notice how you want to pretend that Russian casualties haven't been insanely high because quite obviously you're terrified that your superiors may become unsatisfied with your trolling and send you to the front and you want to pretend that the chances that you will be killed, wounded or captured at the front aren't very, very high. Hint: Those chances of things going very badly for you at the front are very high and even if you luck out you're still stuck living in a poor, savage, backward country stuck in the 18th century and run by a brutal dictatorship. On another note we can't help thinking of your poor parents who no doubt hoped that you would grow up to do good positive work and who must be heartbroken to see you working as a troll for a barbaric, savage terrorist dictatorship and celebrating murderous, terrorist attacks on innocent Ukrainians. Any parent would be heartbroken if their child ended up throwing away all morality, humanity, decency and credibility as you hsve and destroying his reputation and dishonoring the family by publicly supporting terrorist forces.
