People say Turkey should be in NATO because it is a large country in an important location but if it spends as much effort sabotaging NATO as working for NATO then there is no point having it in NATO. The same obviously goes true for much smaller Hungary. Finland and Sweden on the other hand not only have powerful militaries and are relatively large by European standards and are in strategically important locations but also would work only to support NATO and never to sabotage it. As well Sweden and Finland clearly are democratic and have rule of law - one cannot say that about Turkey and Hungary. There is no doubt that Sweden and Finland should be in NATO and Turkey and Hungary should be out of NATO but the question is how to accomplish that when apparently NATO has no mechanism to expel members no matter how much they are sabotaging NATO.
