@albertinsinger7443 Nonsense. Out of 200 or so countries in the world 4 of the top 8 for GDP are European countries and the other 4 among the top 8 are there mainly because they have huge populations. Europe has a significantly larger GDP than does China and is much richer on a per capita basis. Finland with a small population has 870,000 people in its military reserve on top of the regular troops. And Finland is a country which provides its people with important supports such as universal public health care, paid maternity leave and old age pensions.

@TripleG333I Because Germany supports European integration and mutual cooperation and free trade whereas the United States under both Democratic and Republican leadership is protectionist and likes to put up barriers to trade with Europe. Also, Germany, unlike the United States, is a democracy and a developed country.
