He's trying to make Russia a player on the world stage again, like USSR was. Not only he did not accomplish that, but he's pushed Russia back 20 years. If I was an average Russia, I'd be pissed.

Denmark is a part of NATO, however one of the stipulations is that they're supposed to be able to defend the territory untill the rest of the allies arrive. In case of Greenland, Denmark is breaking the rules. They wouldn't be able to defend Greenland for a day, therefore two things need to happen. Denmark cuts their lavish social spending benefits, and invests heavily into their military to defend Greenland, or they simply walk away from Greenland and let someone else take care of it. It will be either China, Russia, or the US, and US is not about to let someone into their backyard, so that's that. It's great that the Danes want to live in their liberal, female run lala land, but there is a lot more at stake here than feminism.

If US was to choose friendship with Denmark, or securing their own security, I think Danes would be dissapointed. 4.9 million people, vs 330 million. Be realistic, at lest.

Remember what happend to Poland when the second war was over? It was given to Stalin to keep the peace. I suspect the areas under Russian occupation will be given to Russia to make Putin happy, for now. Some of the sanctions will be lifted to ease the pain on Germany, and the central europe, but most of the sanctions will be left intact to punish Russia for the war. The 300 billion warchest will be given to Ukraine to pay for the damages too. Ukraine will be allowed to enter nato, with the lands it controls, in return most of the sanctions on russia will be lifted.

@Spitty_fires Neither France, or Germany, or England would launch nukes if Greenland was invaded. It would be up to US taxpayers to defend Denmark's playground, that they can'd defend themselves. US taxpayers are done carrying the weight of the world for free. No one asked Danes for their opinion, because no one cares. US doesn't need Danes opinion on security matters, and Greenland happens to fall with in US's sphere of influence, and security interest.

What Denmark says, is the same as what the dog barks. No one cares. There are more important things than Denmark feelings if it comes to national security of the US, the country that is defending most of the Europe, so please stop with this " not for sale" nonsence. Ever heard of "imminant domain"? This is when something is taken forcefully from someone else for a greater good. No one cares if Danes don't want to sell Greenland, no one.

Russia has been robbing their satellite republics for half of century, with nothing in return. No one want's to be in that situation again, ad Ukraine is next in line to get out of this mess. Belarus will be next. It's a matter of time. There is a saying that after the ww2, west was pumping money into Europe, and Russia was pumping their ideology. You can see it when You drive from east germany into west germany.

Here is the issue that no one is talking about . The EU leaders have become so cocky, that they have decided to make Trump their punching bag, for their own personal amusement. If Trump was to resume the military aid, he needs to have the European leaders aplogise to him, not to make them look bad, but to give Trump, and America cerdit they deserve. After all, insulting Trump they way the Europeans have done, is the same as insulting 80 million Americans that voted for him. There needs to be a public apology from the head of the EU for the aid to resume. If Trump resumes the aid without this, this will be seen as a weekness.
