  1. Historicly, EVERY single military alliance has dissolved, as soon as the conditions became unfavorabel to one side. In this case, Nato is holding US hostage in keeping itself safe. US needs to take careof it's own security, first, than allies. EU is far too unpredictible to have as an ally in the part of the world that is crutial to US security, especially if somehow nato weakens, or dissolves in the future, ( 50, 100 years or so). Just look at the Warsaw pact. It dissolved leaving Russia with nothing. US needs to play hard ball and acquire greenland.
