The real reason why countries like Germany and France are voluntering to send troops to defend greenland is the Danish PM promissed them a cut of the riches there, as long as America gets chased out. It's not democracy, or international order. The Danes know that a small cut of a pie, is better than no pie at all. US is at a point where years of giving to other countries have taken a toll on it's economy, and the population. US needs to secure it's standing in the world, even it it means offending the partners.

  2. There are 2 options at this point. If the danes are truly interested in granting the natives their sovereignty, they should walk away with nothing. If they want to hold on to their colony, they should start negotiating now for the southern tip of the island.
