The budget is £ 1.8trillion from which 1 trillion is the multianual thing that they do every 7 years and that comes from contributions from member states. The rest is about €350 bonds and the rest loans which half are from other member states and the other half the comission borrows from the finanial markets. But as i said, uk is about to borrow £450 billion something like that. How is the government going to pay back that much money? Eu is 27 members and they ll borrow less. Uk need the deal because it s easy to replace a country , but 27 , gonna take a decade.

  145. The EU does not have a president... It has 2 (council and commission) and a country presidency changing every 6 months.. Also the first 2 are chosen by the member states and confirmed by meps, think of it like the PM in the UK... it is chosen by the winning party, but in this case you got to win a presidential election in a memeber state as an individual( in order to be able to vote in the council), you also need all 27 members of the council to agree a person and then have a majority in the EU parliament.

And they will make it more clear at the next referendum , i don t understant why you stress so much about some fish , europe is surrounded by an ocean and a couple of seas , there is plenty of fish for everyone. Both sides are too proud and because of that they don t act based on logic but based on momentairly emotions. Barnier and Bo jo should all be dismissed , and there should be some impartial and rational people to negotiate the deal .
