The gems are 2 carat cultured sapphires that look like real diamonds mounted on .999 silver rings of various sizes. They are worth like $150 each but only a gemologist can tell the difference. Right now there are two women walking around with the exact same ring on. I asked him once if he feels guilty about it. He just shrugged and said "They wanted a ring. I gave them one. They are happy to have it... and I am happy they shut up about it. Win-win"
