  1. Funny how such simple things lodge themselves in to our brains. Twenty two years ago I was going through a divorce and became platonic friends with a female coworker who was in the same situation. My male friends mostly felt sorry for me and would avoid talking with me about it at all costs... so it was nice to have someone to talk to that could relate. One evening we decided to meet up at a bar and shoot some pool. I remember walking in to find her at a table table, the balls racked and a glass of Bourbon, neat, sitting there waiting on me. I was taken aback. This woman I barely knew cared enough to remember what I drank and then was considerate enough to order it for me. I still remember her reaction when I thanked her. She smiled and said "Welcome to normal, Bear."
