  1. well in your 7 years Russia has not experienced yet a losing war in Ukraine, which is the largest land war in Europe since WW2. a worldwide global recession, Russia under massive sanctions worst in history. Well we shall see history unfoling in the next years.

  2.  @bennyboy5374  true, but its not only forests but also oil , gas, gold etc. etc. etc. heck underpopulated you say, China has MILLIONS of people it can ship off to annex those underpopulated areas of Russia at its borders.

I can see Russia east of the Urals and the Caucasus becoming ilke the wild west just like China in the 1920s to 30s. warlord era. lots of unrest loss of law and order. good job opportunities for foreign mercenaries, adventurers , black marketters , arms dealers. corporations for economic exploitation and buying cheapo Russian weaponry.

  7. I agree with caspain here. However I think Russia will post war in the 2020s from 2023 will lose about 25 percent of its pre Ukraine war Territory, which will balkanize into indpendent republics, mostly in the Caucasus and east of the Urals. Moscow will probably retain most of hte land esp. European Russian west of the Urals. This will occur to the economc collapse of Russia and Russia having to demobilize its armed forces due to a depressed economy. Along with Politicla chaos with Pro Western Democrats vs. Anti Western Nationalist putinist vs. seperatists. Russia will become a great game proxy war between the USA and China. for its resources. and for China a window to Central Asia. and the Caucasus.

  9. my view is that in the face of a defeat in Ukraine, you have hundreds of thousands of Russian troops in Ukraine going back to Russia, these troops are very angry at the Russian gov. since their army treated them badly in the field, low supplies, their friends dying due to poor Russian leadership, probably not paid, probably psychotic , experience in killing people. , have good experience in using military weapons. many of these troops come from Russian republics which historically have been rebellious to Moscow, they go back to a Russia that discriminates them for not being a white Russian, being poor, and for losing the war. these soldiers will be blamed by Russians for losing the war. and worse yet, not even paid for their time in Ukraine. just like in the first chechen war, many Russian soldiers were abandoned many were not even paid. going back to a economically depressed Russia with political and economic chaos, with civil unrest and disorder . Yep wonder what those hundreds of thousands of pyschologically shell shocked angry former Russian soldiers will do. Then that will be the Russian civil war.

  11. a stupid mistake however supposedly calculated by Putin can destroy everything that he built. If Putin wanted a legacy remembering him as a great man, he will be remembered a lot more for his mistakes esp. his mistake on Ukraine which can destroy Russia as a country.

  12. well another aspect of Economic war not mentioned here is the Russian economy's reliance on its oil and gas exports which is around 25 percent of its economy. When the gas prices crash to say 20s to 40s USD. due to a global recession, a global economic recession will result an oil price crash, the Russian economy will also crash and Russia will find it very very difficult to finance its war in Ukraine. Hence I think Russia's defeat in Ukraine will not be due to the Ukrainians pushing them out but a collapse of its economy and ability to fund the war. The Russian defeat in Ukraine probably in 2023 will be very similiar to that of the end of the first chechen war, where Russia just gives up and abandons its troops and equipment in Ukraine. since it does not have the finances to pay for the withdrawal. Well the Russians will blame Putin for their problems. that 80 percent wont be that when the economy collapses.

  14. yah the fall of Russia will be gradual. and yes it might be messy, and I think the UN NATO even China might have to step in to Insure Russian nukes are all accounted for. Not surprised the local leaders will make a LOT of money from this.

  15. as of 10/31/2022, caspian you are correct about the HMARS massively so, they have been a game changer, made possible the Ukr counteroffensives and destroyed Russian logistics in a span of a few months.

  16. also millions of Russians will refugee into Europe. in this decade. the Russian sort of semi civil war will last for ten years. the break ups I think will be mainly peaceful. since the Russian state will probably not have the army or finances to hold on to rebellious states.
