the Filipino police were given quotas on how many people they arrest everyday, and they are given generous bonuses for killing and arresting criminals , in fact it was so crazy the Philippine gov contract killers from the criminals, army and police(who had part time after work jobs as hired assasins) to help clean up the Philippine drug problem. Death toll officially 6K people were killed by the Philippine police, but the real number could be from 25K to 50K killed in 6 years.

the drug problem was so bad and the Philippine gov was so bad, they even cook shabu in Filipino prisons, prisoners are paid in shabu. most Filiipino prisoners are practically shabu addicts due to this. Also a UK documentary did a survey and found that 90 percent of the inhabitants of a Manila poor neighbourhood from ages 10 to 60 were all shabu addicts.

the PH is one of hte most corrupt countries in the world and possibly the most corrupt country in Asia, shit, what country can you get where a governor can run for reelection while sitting in a prison cell. I remember reading somewhere LKY of singapore commented that Malaysia is corrupt, Indonesia is disorganized and the Philippines in Chaotic,\ Among the Malay countries the Philippines is the poorest and most dangerous, heck Manila is the murder capital of south East asia, Manila Bangkok and Jakarta compete for this one but Manila is champion many a time.

not much known???? its an open secret in the Philippines, that cops are also drug dealers, heck also a open secret that the Philippine police and military were not only always very corrupt but they sell military grade weapons with anyone with the money to buy including anti gov guerillas and drug lords. The manila police commandos raided the rich part of the largest prison in Manila and they found that the rich prisoners had military grade weapons with them while in prison, which included M60 machineguns, grenade launchers and assault rifles etc. along with their waterbeds, ikea furniture and karaoke bars.

the Philippine muslim moro and communist insurgencies are irritants and not state threatening, in fact, the NPA communist guerillas and Muslim moro guerillas make good money in the drug trade and they actually do protectoin distribution and processing of Shabu, in fact many of their guerillas are shabu addicts and shabu also makes a good combat drug. besides the drug trade these guerillas function like criminal organization making good business with kidnapping, extortion, smuggling and even moonlight as for hire killers. The Muslim guerillas even make extra money in hijacking shipping in the Sulu sea and occassionally raiding Malaysian resorts in Sabah kidnapping Chinese tourists. for ransom. and the Phiippine military makes good money selling US made weapons to these guerillas. also takes a cut from their criminal activities, Filipino police make money by moonlighting as for hire assassins, also take cuts from criminals
