  2. so what if the Russians launch their upcoming spring offensive using mechanized warfare, Russians tried that at the start of the war, and they failed, got their asses kciked and they did it with surprise a better equipped and motivated army. Now fast forward Spring 2023, say they launch their massive spring offensive, which I am thinking will constitute maybe half a million men about 2X the size of their first invasion force but with even poorly trained, more poorly motivated conscripts, with less tanks and artillery. and less air support. vs. about a similiar number of Ukrs troops who have higher morale, better trained and better equipped troops. and the Ukrs are prepared to the offensive. I can see the Russians can very bad defeats here. The Ukrs will probably allow the Russians to advance a certain distance and when exhausted then coutneratttack and encircle them in classic maneuver warfare. If this spring offensive turns out to be a disaster...welll...that is kaput for the career of Putin. and he can fall from a window too.

  3. well it took the Russians 5.5 months to take most of Soledar and the Ukrs are still in the outskirts of Soledar. yah Russian tactics changed but not for the better, in fact, Russian tactics have devolved from a modern mechanized strategy to a WW1 style infantry tactics, Russian have not used Penal convict troops since 1945. Its a war of attrition which the Russians cannot pay.
